Altea Club de Golf — formerly Don Cayo Golf — is the only golf course in Altea, set at the foot of the Sierra Bernia mountains on the Costa Blanca Norte. The 9-hole mountain layout dates back to around 1978 and combines elevation changes with sea views, making it one of the most scenic short courses in the area.
It is also one of the most affordable places to play on the northern Costa Blanca, with discounted under-25 rates and good-value multi-round buggy packages. The clubhouse has a restaurant and terrace overlooking the mountains. Altea sits between Benidorm and Calpe, within easy reach of La Sella, Villaitana and Puig Campana for a multi-course trip.

Altea Club de Golf is in Altea la Vella, inland from the coastal town of Altea on the Costa Blanca Norte. From Benidorm: ~15 minutes. From Alicante-Elche Airport: about an hour via the AP-7/N-332. From Valencia: roughly 1 hour 30 minutes south.
A round of 18 holes (the 9-hole course played twice) costs €50 in low season and €65 in high season; nine holes are €35–€45. Under-25s pay €20–€25 for 9 holes and €30–€40 for 18. A Mid Day Green Fee (9 holes + buggy, €45 from 13:00, online only) is also available. High season runs 15 Feb–30 Jun and 15 Sep–30 Nov; low season covers the rest of the year.
Altea does not publish a handicap requirement. The 9-hole mountain layout is welcoming to higher handicappers, but it is best to confirm any requirement when you book.
